Admission of Students with Disabilities

Christopher Newport University provides reasonable accommodations to make education accessible to students with disabilities. Admissions decisions at Christopher Newport University are based on the criteria outlined in the Academic Catalog and are made without regard to disabilities. Applicants are expected to present academic credentials at or above the minimum standards for admission.

In order to determine needs and provide the best services possible, students are required to provide recent documentation concerning their disability. Such documentation would include the disability and suggestions for possible accommodation to enhance student access and/or success in the programs and activities of the University.
